Founded in 1985, Countryside Kennel is a family-owned, family-operated ABKA* pet boarding facility.
Our staff offers individualized conscientious care of your beloved pets. This care is two-fold: strict adherence to the highest ABKA standard of care to insure your pet's health and safety; and compliance with your own individual instructions to provide consistency in care and comfort for your pet. No request to simulate loving home care will be refused.
Our goal is to allow you worry-free travel and complete assurance that your pet's stay with us will be a pleasant one.

It will be our pleasure to answer all your queries about your pets’ boarding experience with us. Our virtual tour will demonstrate our 20 year mission statement “Why take your best friend to just a kennel?” Nestled on over twelve wooded acres ; our pet inns accommodate 30 canines and 12 felines. We also provide home care for reptiles and birds in our “Florida room.” Extensive playgrounds and open fields await the most adventurous canine guests. For “couch potatoes” how about a movie and some “pup” corn? Boarding is a very social experience and dogs love to join the pack for afternoon “Yappy Hour“; our snack bar is well stocked with frosty paws, greenies and cholesterol free pigs ears. How about a day of pampering beginning with a hot rock massage. Warm Smooth “Baja” stones are placed in strategic areas of your pet’s back, shoulders and withers. Very rejuvenating for our arthritic guests. Grooming is provided on a daily basis. Our basic package includes two luxury shampoos with Espree products of your choice and a coconut conditioner treatment with sun screen. If you prefer our staff will formulate a regimen for your pet’s coat condition. Ears, Nails and teeth are included. For a nominal fee choose a summer toe polish or “soft claws” “Canine To Five” is more popular than ever with trail walks, playschool, movies, swimming and “yappy hour”. Sign up for pick up and delivery services for a nominal fee. Day campers leave with bandanas and goodie bags. All requests for individualized care and treatment will be considered. The Cat Nip Inn is located seperately from our Bed & Biscuit guests. This eases the stress of our feline guests.

Our Kennel is in the countryside of Powhatan County. Located 10 miles from the intersection of Robious and Huguenot Rd. Take Robious heading west which turns into Huguenot trail/Route 711. Turn right on Judes Ferry Rd. Continue until you come to the fork in the road, turn right on John Tree Hill Rd. Go about a block to the first street on the left, Medway Lane. We our the first driveway on the left.
